Since August of 2021, volunteers have been working tirelessly to renovate the house at 1087 North Main in Jamestown for our future homeowner, Allison Turner and her son Jayden.

As of July 22, 2023, this project has had major overhauling inside and out.  Everything from exterior painting, cement patios on the front and back of the house, a new sidewalk leading up to the new front entry, brick driveway expansion and repairs, a new front window and retractable awning installed.  Also new roof, gutters, repairs around outside of entry to assure no critters can get in and major yard work cleanup.  Interior has had major renovations top to bottom.  In addition to the bathroom renovations, kitchen cabinets and hardware have been repainted, flooring has been installed, a majority of the walls and ceilings have been repaired, primed and being finished with the final coat of paint.  Electrical and plumbing have been upgraded.  Major work has been done to assure a dry basement.  The attic area has been insulated, all trim has been primed and is starting to get the finishing paint before being reinstalled.  The majority of the ceilings have been primed and painted.  Work is continuously taking place on a weekly basis.  This is just a little insight as to what has been accomplished to date at 1087 North Main.  As the saying goes, “A picture is worth a thousand words”.   So that being stated, please visit the Chautauqua Area Habitat for Humanity website, Facebook or Instagram sites to see the volunteers and to get an idea of the progress that has been made since this renovation began.  The dedication of this project is to be determined, but we are getting closer thanks to the continued support and labor provided by our awesome team of VOLUNTEERS.
